Apply for a Nephrology PRN Travel Award!
New Practitioner Travel Award Posting
The Nephrology PRN will award one “new practitioner grant” to partially support the cost of travel and attendance at the ACCP Annual meeting. A new practitioner must be in their first 5 years of practicing clinical pharmacy.
Amount/Number of Awards
$500.00 (1)

Eligibility
Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Be a member of ACCP.
• Have an interest in nephrology or currently practice in a nephrology area or with a patient population that includes a significant number of patients with kidney disease.
• Be able to attend the Nephrology PRN Business and Networking Meeting at the ACCP Annual Meeting and briefly comment (5-10 minutes) on their experiences with ACCP, what they hope to gain or gained from attending the Annual Meeting and their interest in nephrology.

Application Requirements
Applicants should submit: (1) a current CV, (2) letter of intent (750 words maximum) which describes the applicant’s interest in nephrology and current clinical practice that includes kidney disease patients, and (3) one letter of recommendation from either a clinical pharmacy practitioner or School of Pharmacy faculty member (letters from ACCP members recommended, if possible).
All application materials must be submitted to the Chair of the Nephrology PRN Membership Committee via email by the deadline stated below. Applications will be scored individually by each member of the committee. The award will be granted to the application with the highest average score. If a submitted application that includes a letter of recommendation from a member of the awards committee, that committee member will recuse him or herself from scoring that application.

Trainee Travel Award Posting
The Nephrology PRN will award one trainee grant (to a student, resident, or fellow) to partially support the cost of travel and attendance at the ACCP Annual meeting.
Amount/Number of Awards
$500.00 (1)

Eligibility
Eligible student candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Be a student member of ACCP.
• Be a full-time pharmacy student pursuing his/her first professional pharmacy degree at an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Have completed, or demonstrated significant progress in, a nephrology-related project, preferably under the direction of an ACCP member.

Eligible resident/fellow candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Be a resident or fellow member of ACCP. Preference will be given to those who are members of the Nephrology PRN or who are completing a nephrology-focused residency or fellowship.
• Be currently training or have completed training within the past 12 months, in a nephrology residency or fellowship program, PGY-1 residency with a nephrology-focused research or clinical topic, or a PGY-2 residency or fellowship who has completed a nephrology-related project during the PGY-1 or PGY2 years.
ALL eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Be able to attend the Nephrology PRN Business and Networking Meeting at the ACCP Annual Meeting and provide a brief presentation (~10 minutes) of their research or clinical project.

Applicants should submit: (1) a current CV, (2) letter of intent (750 words maximum) which describes the applicant’s interest in nephrology and, if applicable, the project he/she plans to present at the Nephrology PRN Business and Networking Meeting, (3) one letter of recommendation from either a clinical pharmacy practitioner or School of Pharmacy faculty member (letters from ACCP members recommended, if possible), and (4) a copy of the abstract submitted for presentation at ACCP annual meeting, if applicable.

Applications will be scored individually by each member of the committee. The award will be granted to the application with the highest average score. If an application is submitted by a student, resident or fellow that is under the mentorship of a member of the awards committee, that committee member will recuse him or herself from scoring that application.
